A small-batch preserve brand from Durbanville — 40+ handmade jams, chutneys and sauces — with an online store true to its no-additives, seasonal-fruit roots.

1

The problem you will recognise

Heavy pictures made the shop slow to open on a phone. Shoppers had to wait.

More detail

A founder-run preserve business had no way to sell online. Limited production runs sell out fast and customers needed somewhere to browse, order, and arrange collection or delivery.

2

How we solved it

We made the pictures far lighter. We tidied the shop one piece at a time. We checked the speed after every step.

A personal storefront with clear product listings, free collection from Durbanville, and Pudo locker delivery from R70. The site reflects the 'small batch, no additives' ethos rather than looking like a generic shop.

What changed

The home page went from 13.7 MB to 0.56 MB, and the main picture now shows in 1.7 seconds instead of 7.
